LA DEFENSA DE LOS VALORES DE LA UNION EUROPEA LA CONDICIONA

La Unión Europea lleva luchando contra las infracciones hacia el Estado de Derecho durante largo tiempo. Las vulneraciones a los valores fundamentales del artículo 2 TUE por parte de Polonia y Hungría no han cesado a lo largo de estos años. Se han planteado distintos mecanismos para hacer frente a estas situaciones y poner freno al avance de los gobiernos antiliberales dentro de los Estados Miembros: sin éxito. No obstante, una nueva alternativa ha sido aprobada el pasado diciembre. La condicionalidad de la recepción de los fondos europeos al respeto del Estado de Derecho ha sido acogida como un nuevo instrumento que podría suponer un cambio en la lucha contra la defensa del Estado de Derecho dentro de la Unión.The European Union has been fighting against infringements of the rule of law for a long Número 118 / 2021 time.
